Application Scenarios

Flanges and reducers for equipment connections

Illustrative uses of pipe components, not records of completed customer projects. Suitability must be confirmed against the approved project specification.

Flanges and reducers for equipment connections

    01

    Overview

Equipment connection enquiries often concern the interface between piping and a pump, valve, vessel or skid. The key purchasing task is to define the mating components accurately. This is an illustrative selection workflow, not a record of supplied equipment.

    02

    Requirements

Provide the equipment nozzle drawing, revision, connection standard and required material. Confirm nominal size, facing, bolt pattern and required orientation. Nominal size alone is not enough to establish that two flanges will mate; the actual interface requirements must be checked.

    03

    Product selection

For reducers, specify inlet and outlet dimensions, wall thicknesses, length and concentric or eccentric form. Where orientation matters, include it on the approved drawing. Provide elbow angle/radius and tee branch dimensions for adjacent fittings. Loads, alignment and the complete assembly design remain matters for the project engineer.

    04

    Products

Relevant catalogue families: weld neck or slip-on flanges, blind flanges, reducers, elbows and tees. Choose the component type from the equipment and piping specifications, not solely from a product photograph.

    05

    Preparing your RFQ

Send an itemised RFQ with drawing references, quantities, inspection documents, marking and packing requirements. Request written clarification of drawing conflicts and proposed deviations before approving the order.
