Flanges and fittings for gas pipeline connections

Illustrative uses of pipe components, not records of completed customer projects. Suitability must be confirmed against the approved project specification.

    01

    Overview

Gas piping enquiries often combine straight runs, direction changes, branches and removable equipment connections. This application guide helps buyers prepare a bill of materials for elbows, tees and flanges; it is not a completed customer project or a piping design.

    02

    Requirements

Identify the gas, design pressure and temperature, installation location and governing project specification. Provide the line class and required material grades. Any special gas composition, low-temperature conditions or additional testing requirements must be stated for technical review; a product name alone does not establish suitability.

    03

    Product selection

Group quotation lines by size, wall thickness, material and connection type. For elbows state angle and radius; for tees give the main and branch sizes; for flanges provide the standard, rating, facing and mating dimensions. Send the approved drawing when connections are not fully described by the purchase specification.

    04

    Products

Relevant catalogue families: carbon steel elbows, equal or reducing tees, weld neck flanges and blind flanges. Selection depends on the approved line specification, rather than a general recommendation for all gas systems.

    Preparing your RFQ

For a comparable quotation, include quantities, inspection and material-document requirements, end protection, marking and destination port. Confirm technical deviations and the delivery schedule in writing before ordering.
